Job Title: Production Operator
Location: Lafayette, LA
Compensation Range: $22.77/hr - $35.45/hr depending on experience.
Responsibilities:*This is considered a safety sensitive position, therefore will be subjectto random drug testing as required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Production of bulk chemicals, using company provided procedures, Assist Shift Supervisor with manufacturing products as instructed
- Repackaging, sampling and labeling of raw materials and finished product
- Perform simple in-process testing as needed
- Keep detailed daily logs and other necessary records, forms or electronic data maintenance as requested- logbooks, check sheets and master batch records
- Complete vessel cleaning and verification
- Handling of hazardous material according to company procedures
- Monitor and maintain support utilities and automated equipment
- Responsible for maintaining an orderly and clean work area
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned
OE/Lean
- Actively participates in the implementation of sustainable improvement processes, such as 5S, Kaizen, Daily Management Control, Standard Work and Problem Solving.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of chemical operations and batch manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and work independently
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and shift work. This includes holidays and weekends.
- Willing to cooperate in teamwork, share responsibilities, take direction and advice from others, and train others.
- Able to plan and organize multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Must have strong mathematical, problem solving skills, basic writing and computer skills.
- Background should demonstrate safety, dependability, maturity, credibility and productivity.
- Must be dedicated to work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures
- Forklift Operation preferred by not required
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
