Schedule: 2'nd Shift (Typically Monday thru Friday 3:00pm to 11:30pm)
Education: High School Diploma or GED Required
IMPORTANT: Experience handling Chemicals or Hazardous Materials is highly preferred but not required.
GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Paint Mixer/Cabinet Loaders general purpose is to use raw materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner to produce, mix and supply the highest quality semi-finished and finished material. Participate in safety, environmental, productivity, training, and housekeeping programs in a customer site.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Run all required equipment in a safe and efficient manner:
- Pumps
- Scales
- Mix Machine
- Day tanks/Bulk tanks
- Perform the following duties, to include but not limited to:
- Washing equipment (tanks, pumps, piping and tools)
- Loading (Charging) various size tanks from 2 to 250-gallon capacity
- Loading (Charging) moving and lifting pails of finished product up to 5 gallons
- Maintain FIFO racks by putting up case stocks of materials up to 75 lbs.
- Performing specified in-process quality tests - dirt checks, wet color, viscosity
- Must be able to follow established process instructions and documentation (SOP's)
- Adjustment of in-process material per lab instructions
- Filtration of product (loading / changing FSI filter and traps)
- Filling off semi-finished and finished product (drums, totes, bulk storage or pails)
- Labeling of containers, following established SOP, customer and DOT requirements
- Housekeeping (participate in area cleanup, 5S)
- Lean manufacturing
- Perform selective maintenance tasks / equipment switch-outs to keep the process running
- Operator must be able to operate computer-controlled equipment
- Operator must be able to follow all site and area guidelines pertaining to all functions within the plant and assigned tasks. (Examples: breaks / lunch, availability for work, etc.)
- Operator must be able to follow all Area Operating Procedures (AOP's) that pertain to his / her job functions.
- Train others and be a Positive Team-player.
- Flexible - Some weekend work is required depending on customer need(s).
