The Production Planner is responsible for the planning and scheduling of production for the Fond du lac Plant to maximize throughput and meet customer demand. This includes labor planning, production addback, and inventory management. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to meet production goals.
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.
- Coordinate with various departments, including production, inventory management, and procurement, to ensure alignment of schedules and resources, and minimize workflow/downtime.
- Analyze production data and trends to identify potential bottlenecks or inefficiencies and propose solutions to optimize production processes.
- Communicate production schedules and changes, monitor and track production progress, identifying any deviations from the schedule and implementing corrective actions as needed, and communicate to entire team.
- Generate reports and metrics to evaluate production performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of strategies to enhance production efficiency and quality.
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Quality Control teams to ensure equipment availability and product quality standards are met.
- Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and resource allocations.
- Manage formulas to match all quality requirements.
- Support Operations with Balance Process.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed to support production schedules.
