Production Planner-Material Manager - 1st shift at Adecco USA

About the Job
This is a Job Shop manufacturing facility, and experience with production coordination and shipping is required. Working with ERP systems required and previous use of the Visual Manufacturing Program, a plus.
Job description
The production planner is responsible for overall planning/scheduling
covering both 1st and second shift. This requires someone that is a team
player and works well with others in various areas of the company. Excellent
organizational skills and supervisory experience are required as is
experience with an ERP system.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all production scheduling
- Analyze production output to ensure FG target inventory does not fall
below expectations
- Monitor demonstrated capacity risks vs. forecast demand
- Adjust FG target inventory as necessary to avoid excess based on
changes in customer demand
- Manage/oversee shipping/receiving support staff
- Maintain all planning material, including lot sizes, safety stocks,
material replenishment types, and lead times in accordance with
policy and procedure
- Participate in New Products meetings to discuss upcoming starts
- Work directly with vendors on scheduling of outside processing
- Scheduling, placement, and management of raw material and
purchased component parts with existing suppliers
- Communicate and support sales with customer demand changes
- Assist in annual physical inventory and cycle counting processes and
activities. Evaluate results of physical inventories and update all
records and schedules affected
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements (Must Haves):
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing background
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft products and ERP systems
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or related
field is preferred, though real-world Production Planner experience will be considered as an option
A background in industrial manufacturing within plastics, metal works, or custom commercial parts and assembly is helpful.
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
