Key Responsibilities
- Manage shop associates in a power distribution equipment re-manufacturing/assembly and decommission environment.
- Plan and assign work, implement work procedures, and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
- Responsible for associate relations, quality, production, and cost improvement.
- Ensure effective associate relations. Provide associate coaching and development. Make employment decisions. Resolve associate issues through problem resolution measures.
- Balance quality, production, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
- Ensure that all associates in all departments are following proper operational procedures, safety rules and procedures and housekeeping practices. Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
- Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls. Provide regular progress reports to General Manager.
- Perform accident investigations.
- Track absenteeism and timekeeping.

- Physical ability to perform light work, exerting up to 20lbs of force occasionally and/or in excess of 10lbs force frequently.
