Job Summary
The Production Supervisor?provides leadership and management in a food manufacturing environment. This key leadership position requires the ability to coach and direct other leaders and Production Associates while collaborating with internal and external resources and support functions to meet production requirements and exceed company goals. The shifts are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday 3AM-3:30PM.
Major Job Functions:
- Oversees all aspects of safety, quality, and production in the plant for an assigned shift.
- Leads, directs and executes production, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping.
- Manages self and others assertively with attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
- Maintains a safe working environment and safety records. Drives a Safety Perfect Culture.
- Responsible for ensuring full compliance and execution of food safety and food quality programs.
- Coordinates production schedules on their shift and collaborates with peers across all shifts.
- Leads attainment of Key Performance Indicators, KPIs.
- Communicates pertinent information to management.
- Leads the execution and attainment of Manufacturing Excellence regarding Safety, Quality, Productivity/Cost Performance, Service, Employee Morale, and Lean Manufacturing,
- Coordinates training of team members.
- Assists in the selection, qualification, and evaluation of associates.
- Conducts all duties required to supervise all day shift production team members.
- Completes daily area inspections of plant floor operations.
- Communicates progress on production goals to the workforce regularly.
- Ensures compliance with the organization's policies and procedures.
- Assesses work performance of associates to ensure expectations are met.?Drives daily accountability.
- Provide leadership and direction to department team members.
- Identify and analyze problems, and create and implement solutions.
- Seeks to understand root causes and drives a culture of continuous improvement.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities within organization policies.
- And other duties as assigned.
- College degree or equivalent experience in food and manufacturing environments
- Highly motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and the ability to handle multiple functions at one time in a fast-paced environment
- Proven leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Team Player with demonstrated team leadership
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
- Proficient in Lean Manufacturing preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented
- Overall knowledge of plant operations
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to move and lift to up 50 lbs., sometimes for a consistent period
