Position Overview:
CME is seeking a passionate Production Supervisor to lead the assembly of electrical/electronic products for the automotive, aerospace, defense, and heavy industries. This role involves managing production operations to ensure timely, efficient, and quality-focused output. Key responsibilities include overseeing labor, material, and scheduling requirements, coordinating office and shop functions, and driving continuous improvement. The Production Supervisor will plan material needs, manage staff performance through coaching and training, and ensure compliance with industry standards, including ERP/MRP systems and AS-9100/CMMI requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for driving revenue meeting both budget and scheduling goals.
- Oversees the lean manufacturing and shipping processes and procedures in factory production operations.
- Resolving planning and forecasting issues.
- Evaluate, improve, and resolve process flow issues and make suggestions for process efficiency and quality improvement.
- Employee and performance and management by coaching, mentoring, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate material and employee resources including scheduling and assignments.
- Ability to set up and implement a visual manufacturing floor through the implementation and maintenance of 6-S as defined by the process improvement team on the manufacturing floor.
- Assist with the on-boarding process of new production staff, provide training and educational materials to staff and conduct annual reviews for staff performance.
- Ensure compliance with professional standards such as occupational health and safety and customer requirements.
Job Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and management principles, including coaching and mentoring.
- Skilled in customer service standards, quality control, and efficient production techniques.
- Understanding of personnel management, including recruitment, training, and performance assessment.
- Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making, with the ability to evaluate and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to monitor and improve performance for quality, delivery, and cost goals.
- Solid grasp of OSHA safety regulations and industry standards (AS-9100/CMMI).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.
- Experience in a supervisory role with proven team-building abilities.
- Familiar with ERP/MRP systems, including Deltek Costpoint, for material management and inventory control.
- Strong sense of urgency and resource management skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS in Engineering or related field preferred, or 2 years specialized training/AA degree.
- 5-12 years in manufacturing and supervisory roles with demonstrated leadership experience.
Other Requirements:
- CME positions require access to controlled goods under ITAR/EAR regulations; applicants must be "U.S. Persons" as defined by these regulations.
- Compliance with U.S. federal law requires verification of identity and work eligibility; CME cannot employ individuals who do not meet these criteria, including those on student or temporary work visas.
- Completion of Predictive Index Assessments.
