About the Job
Georgia-Pacific is now hiring a Production Supervisor at our West Monroe, LA facility. The Production Supervisor will utilize leadership, operations experience, and communication to identify and convert change improvement opportunities related to people, process, and systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate safety as a value and lead a crew of employees to exceed production expectations for the shift.
This role will rotate one week on day shift then following week on night shift.

What You Will Do
- Lead an operating team in compliance in safety, health, environmental, and quality
- Foster a culture based on our Principled Based Management (PBM®) Philosophy
- Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively identify hazards and implement appropriate mitigating strategies; investigate incidents and participate in resolution of causes
- Coach, train, and develop operations personnel in safety, quality, and production
- Ensure best practices are followed for minimization of waste at machine centers
- Address key issues and concerns and interact with employees from other departments to ensure quality, on-time production
- Plan, assign and direct work for all hourly production employees; appraise performance and provide feedback as needed; assist in resolving complaints; hold employees accountable as needed; communicate issues and results on a daily basis
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Previous experience managing direct reports within a manufacturing, production, industrial OR military environment
- Previous experience with converting, finishing or on corrugator equipment to include troubleshooting (i.e. Rotary Die-cutters, flexo folder gluers, laminators, jumbo printer slotters)
- Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts based on needs of organization
- Previous experience using Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, Outlook, Pwrpoint)
- Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 2+ years' experience managing corrugated & converting or packaging production operations
- Previous experience using applications such as KIWI, FFF, and/or PCS
- Previous experience driving results such as KPIs
