Production Support Engineer - Group One Trading

Position Summary
We are seeking a self-driven Production Support Engineer who is passionate about all aspects of user support, including monitoring, actively engaging end-users, troubleshooting, and providing a high level of customer service. The position will be part of our Application Support team. We desire a candidate with strong problem-solving, customer-service, critical thinking, and communication skills who can collaborate across functional groups. The ideal candidate will participate in oversight of production monitoring, troubleshooting, and process improvement. The candidate will be providing technical support to employees in our Chicago office and exchange trading floors. This position will require occasional travel between New York and Chicago.
Requirements
- A college or university degree in a related area of study (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc) combined with 1-3 years of experience in a technical support role
- Strong experience supporting Microsoft Windows desktop systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to write technical documentation and create documentation standards
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues across different functional groups and locations
- Ability to research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve production issues
- Self-driven, highly flexible, champion of change
- Ability to learn quickly and share knowledge
- Willingness to give and take directions while operating in a fast-paced environment
- Actively fosters an environment that encourages employee engagement, teamwork, and communication
- Experience with software development life cycles is a plus, but not required
