About the Job
- After release of engineering process, provides training in the testing, disassembly, parts replacement, and reassembly of products.
- Provides recommendations back to Engineering to improve and simplify the process.
- Oversees the technical performance of all testers/coordinators in rework.
- As new products or testers are brought in, trains them in the Engineering and Quality Assurance processes.
- Inspects, verifies, corrects revision level, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs entire line of products with minimal direction.
- Obtains, reads, interprets and complies with ISO documentation procedures. Develops and submits new or updated processes for approval.
- Assembles and/or disassembles moderate to complex assemblies, utilizing written processes, assembly prints, and schematic drawings.
- Performs reworks and repairs to non-conforming products, and initiates corrective action on non-conformance events.
- Strips down products for spare parts and to support repairs.
- Utilizes a variety of hand tools and test.
- Independently loads and set up printer drivers and test programs. Configures hardware for standard tests and/or rework.
- Responsible for troubleshooting problems to the sub-assembly level, with extended ability to troubleshoot problems at the component level, if required.
- Maintains and verifies the accuracy of the department’s inventory
- High School Graduate or GED. Vocational or Technical School graduate with emphasis on electronics, computers and Electro / Mechanical test and repair.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a Electro / Mechanical test and repair position.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, etc.).
- Available for overtime as required.
- Good communication and organizational skills to provide training in a logical and comprehensive manner.
- Lift/carry 50 lbs.
- Use of pallet jack.
- Standing 60% / Walking 20% / Sitting 20%
- Push/Pull 300 lbs with pallet jack
- Stooping & Kneeling – required for normal repair tasks and retrieval Reaching & Handling – Repair and packaging
- Speaking & Hearing in English – Communication
- Seeing and Depth Perception.
