Production Worker - Laminator/ CNC Operator - Allied Modular

POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Worker is responsible for fabricating components on assigned projects according to AMBS drawings. Also responsible for operating machinery including but not limited to a forklift. Occasionally will be assigned to special jobs like receiving or pulling kits or parts from stock room.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Start and stop equipment.

· Load and unload processing equipment, machines, carts and/or dollies.

· Ensure tools are returned and stored in their assigned place daily.

· Controlling and adjusting machine settings

· Clean production area, sweep, mop, and remove debris.

· Lubricate equipment.

· Remove product and machine attachments.

· Scrape waste material from machine.

· Ensure conformance to specifications and drawings.

· Measure length of material before and after cutting or sawing to assure it meets the requirement of the drawing.

· Verify quantities and sizes of materials used on the production sheets. Note changes to them as needed.

· Quality check inbound and outbound materials.

· Relay material discrepancies to the Production Manager/Production Assistant and follow Credit Memo process.

· Maintain inventory levels.

· Mark parts for identification.

· Always leave production drawings with materials.

· Return all finished PRD pages to the Production Manager for consumption.

· Assist packaging and crating finished products for shipment.

· Follow all safety rules and company policies.

· Take instructions from supervisors.

Equipment Used:

• Hand and power tools, heavy equipment, including forklift.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

· High school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree is a plus

· At least 2-3 years equivalent job experience in a manufacturing/production environment

· Ability to operate construction or manufacturing machinery

· Ability to accurately use and read measuring devices

· Good communication skills

· Ability to read manuals

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal but fluctuates during times of production. The environment can be dusty at times.
