Kimley-Horn is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Surveyor to join our Survey team in Sacramento, CA. As a Project Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing accurate and reliable surveying services to support various projects. Your expertise in surveying techniques and tools will be crucial in ensuring the success of our clients' projects. Responsibilities:- Conduct field surveys using advanced surveying equipment, such as Total Stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.
- Perform boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, and as-built surveys.
- Utilize surveying software and computer-aided design (CAD) programs to process and analyze survey data.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure surveying requirements are met.
- Prepare accurate survey reports, drawings, and legal descriptions.
- Verify and ensure the accuracy of survey data, measurements, and calculations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Stay updated with the latest surveying techniques, technologies, and industry trends.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior surveying staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field preferred.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Project Surveyor or similar role.
- Proficient in using Total Stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.
- Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, principles, and equipment.
- Familiarity with surveying software and CAD programs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in survey data collection and analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Salary Range:
$115,000 to $150,000
