Overview:
VTG is seeking a Program Analyst to provide program support to our Navy's Systems Engineering team at the Washington Navy Yard in support of the Zumwalt Class Destroyer (DDG 1000). This will be mostly be hybrid 3 days onsite in DC, 2 days telework each week.
Responsibilities:- Prepare O-6 level program/project briefings, plans, concept papers, white papers, meeting minutes, action item reports, and other required program planning documentation with little to no oversight.
- Perform operational, administrative, and executive functions for external/internal Project/Program Managers.
- Analyze and evaluate projects and/or programs to provide project and program managers information to be used in planning, monitoring, and resource allocation including financial and contractual data.
- Develop plans, milestones, actions, and assist with budgets to meet contractual/project requirements.
- Develop and maintain electronic information and databases concerning the installation, operation, maintenance, and alteration of systems and equipment.
- Prepare charts using Excel to show graphical representations.
- Analyze various data to identify problems and trends.
- Review contractual requirements and participate in defining project and/or program requirements and scope.
- Develop evaluation methodology, collect and analyze data to determine extent to which goals, objectives and requirements are being met.
- Implement strategies for deploying and implementing new program planning policy initiatives and measure effectiveness of implementation.
- Capture and communicate organization’s lessons learned.
- Coordinate, facilitate and/or lead project/program meetings and events.
- Assist in the development and/or review technical documentation including systems engineering plans, feasibility studies, configuration management plans, test plans and test reports, integrated logistics support plans, and engineering change documentation.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, stakeholders, subcontractors, vendors and industry.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in a related field plus at least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated and experience of working Department of Defense and NAVSEA programs, processes, and initiatives.
- US Citizen with an Active DoD Secret Clearance and ability to sustain one
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to CONUS travel up to 10% to support customer requirements (travel to locations such as Philadelphia, San Diego & Pascagoula)
- Must be proficient in full suite of Microsoft Office products and tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Navy Shipboard Systems experience
- Knowledge of shipboard Hull, Mechanical, & Electrical (HM&E) systems.
