Department of Pediatrics
Under general supervision of the Assistant Program Director and the Program Manager of the Pediatric Residency Program in the Department of Pediatrics at UC Irvine the incumbent is responsible for providing a wide range of general administrative and financial support to the program. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work as an efficient, effective problem-solver. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized is also important as assignments and responsibilities vary on priorities and events.
Qualifications:Required:
- Ability to learn and develop understanding of applicable federal, state, local, sponsor and institutional regulations, policies, and guidelines.
- Ability to perform routine financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills
- An approach to working with colleagues that enhances collaboration and team building
- Ability to utilize computer application software: Windows, MS-Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
Preferred:
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local, sponsor and institutional regulations, policies, and guidelines.
- Knowledge of grant funding processes, procedures, and techniques.
- Knowledge of compliance regulations in areas of research administration
