Reporting to the Director of Temperature Solutions, t his position will lead the improvement of the program development process where the requirements call for new technologies, new manufacturing processes or new Temperature Solutions brands. The Program Development Manager's position requires excellent oral and written communication skills , as well as skills in decision-making and organization. Computer proficiency and awareness of the latest technological trends and advancements are also helpful.
In this role you will undertake a variety of administrative and program management duties, including the planning, implementation, and management of new activities and programs. You'll also be required to provide subject-matter guidance to employees and managers in ways that enhance efficiency and teamwork. To excel in this position, you should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to manage multiple programs and tasks at a time.
Primary Duties:
- Researching trends and gathering resources on new activities and programs related to pharmaceutical distribution.
- Overseeing the planning and coordination of Program Development activities.
- Includes scheduling thermal chamber time with the Product Engineering Manager
- Includes scheduling materials and work related to third party Collaborators.
- Planning and attending collaboration meetings to ensure projects are on schedule.
- Create quarterly and monthly Research and Development budgets for all new programs.
- Coordinate internal resources (COE) and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring scheduling and technical feasibility.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Measure program performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Available for some travel for customer visits and industry conferences.
- Provide feedback on the success and/or failure of Temperature Solutions projects and activities.
Qualifications:
- Technical degree, preferably in the field of engineering.
- Proven working experience in project management or product development.
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in product development and project management.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of Smartsheet is desired.
- Familiarity with CAD Software would be beneficial.
