DUTIES
The Program Director II will manage youth and adult sports programs, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, cross-country, sports camps, and oversee childwatch services. Additionally, this role will be responsible for overseeing specialty camps and coordinating youth and family activities, ensuring high levels of engagement and program quality. The Sports Director II will supervise part-time sports staff, gym monitors, and volunteer coaches. The focus will be on creating high-quality, age-appropriate programs while building and maintaining relationships with members, community organizations, and participants through effective communication.
This role works collaboratively with other branch leaders to ensure a welcoming and supportive experience for all members. The position is hands-on, requiring availability during afternoons, evenings, and weekends. A passion for working with children and the ability to communicate effectively with parents is essential.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A college degree in a related field is preferred
- Candidates must have a minimum of three years of programmatic experience in youth sports, and well-rounded knowledge of sports programming and best practices.
- Experience in leading staff and volunteers critical to the success of the sports programs. Managing large sports programs and budgets essential. Computer proficiency and program administration experience are essential
