Job Summary:
The Beacon Treatment Center (BTC) Program Lead is a qualified Behavioral Health Technician who plays an important role in delivering personalized care and facilitating group and individual sessions to support clients in their recovery journey. Under the direction of the Program Director and Behavioral Health Professional (BHP), the Program Lead is responsible for conducting assessments, collaborating with the care team to develop and implement tailored treatment plans, and ensuring comprehensive client support across all aspects of treatment. The Program Lead also plays an integral part in implementing curriculum, guiding other staff members, and providing hands-on instruction in both group and one-on-one settings. This role requires a high level of professionalism, empathy, and commitment to recovery, with the flexibility to lead activities in varied and sometimes challenging environments. Program Leads are expected to embody BTC’s values by providing a safe, supportive atmosphere for clients as they work through their treatment.

Job Duties:
- Perform regular client assessments including, but not limited to, ASAM’s and Biopsychosocial evaluations, under the direction and training of the Behavioral Health Professional (BHP). These assessments will be used to evaluate clients' progress and guide their treatment plans.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions for clients in the program.
- Collaborate closely with the care team to ensure comprehensive support across all aspects of the client's treatment. Proper documentation and evaluation techniques will be critical.
- Assist Program Director in assigning and implementing curriculum and lessons to teachers and staff.
- Participate in program development and evaluation.
- Dependent upon individual qualifications, Program Lead may work one-on-one with clients
- Assist in the development and implementation client treatment plans under the direction of the BHP and in collaboration with the treatment team
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment plans.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all clients.
- Facilitate effective communication between the care team, clients, and their families, ensuring that client needs and concerns are addressed promptly.
- Respond to crises and ensure that appropriate interventions are applied following established protocols.
- Monitor and report on program effectiveness, using data, client outcomes, and feedback to evaluate success and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, including maintaining confidentiality and protecting client rights.
- Collaborate on discharge and aftercare planning to support clients transitioning out of the program.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in addiction treatment.
- Qualified Behavioral Health Technician (meets one of the following):
- Master's degree or bachelor's degree in a field related to behavioral health;
- Has a bachelor's degree and at least one year of full time behavioral health work experience;
- Has as associate's degree and at least two years of full time behavioral health work experience;
- Has a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and a combination of education in a field related to behavioral health and full time behavioral health work experience totaling at least two years;
- Is licensed a practical nurse, according to A.R.S Title 32, Chapter 15, with at least three years of full time behavioral health work experience;
- Or has a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma at least four years of full time behavioral health work experience.
- Experience in behavioral health, counseling, social work, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in facilitating group therapy sessions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
