This position may be based out of our Willis Tower, Chicago, IL OR Abbott Park, IL location. The Program Manager, within our Global Procurement team, will support multiple Abbott businesses in supporting Gross Margin Improvement and act like an internal consultant and/or SME.In this role, you will be responsible for the development and execution of several strategic programs to support the organization and drive process improvement through an Integrated Planning mindset
Integrated Planning focuses on short-, medium- and long-term planning horizons. This role will support key processes (Portfolio/Product management, Demand Planning, Supply Chain) improvement and will leverage relationships within the various Abbott business entities and across the enterprise to achieve improve divisional communication, decision-making and support measured improvement by executing process improvement roadmaps focused on People, Process & Tools. This individual must have the ability to effectively lead and work within diverse multi-functional teams to drive improvements in Top and Bottom line.What You'll Work On:Structures and leads high complexity programs to drive value for the Abbott businesses. Program scopes can range from delivery within a specific Abbott site or division to multi-site or regional implementation.Frequently communicates program progress to team leadership, stakeholders and within the team.Identifies and elevates areas of highest risk and supports multi-functional teams to develop actionable risk mitigation strategies.Develop playbooks, templates, reporting, and other program materials to document performance and results.Develop strong partnerships for collaboration and teaming across multiple functions to establish and conduct the programs.Ability to assess business processes and collaborate with internal and external resources to make recommendations for process improvement and value contribution opportunities.Identify improvement projects and manage cross functional implementation to improve performance of key components and suppliers.Performs other duties & projects as assigned.Up to 25% travel may be required.Strategic Thinking: Understands and contributes to the organization strategy, based on the specific business and technology expertise, and translates business strategy Divisional stakeholdersLeads change and innovation

Closely collaborate with adjacent business departments, and external partners to ensure adequate and timely delivery of agreed services, in line with agreed service levels.Partner and collaborate with key One Procurement staff of other Abbott divisions in order to support cross divisional business initiatives and explore Procurement synergies and efficiencies.Build and maintain strategic relationships with key category vendors as well as counterparts at other Healthcare/Consumer companies
Manage ongoing Supplier relationships.Implement agreed purchasing strategies for categoryInitiate a collaborative environment among stakeholdersMaintain strong relationships across various functions, demonstrate the value-add of leveraging and build enthusiasm and support for adoption.Continually look for opportunities for cost reductions and cost avoidance.Leading People: Lead project teams.Confronts and deals with people issues in a constructive and timely manner
Responsible for overall morale of team and promotes cohesive attitude.Compliance: Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.Accountability: Operates with goals set by business unit leadershipHas direct impact on program budgets, expenses and major project completion.Key Organizational Relationships: Functional Heads within DivisionsDivision Commercial and Operations stakeholders Core and Lead AgentsStaff: No direct reports, but will by leading an influencing peers and management levels within DivisionsRequired Qualifications:BA or equivalent experience required: 6-8 years of Project/Program Management experience, preferably in Commercial or Operations experience.Strong project management skills.Strong communication skills (written and verbal)Strong interdisciplinary, intercultural, influence, and networking skillsAbility to develop actionable implementation plans and roadmapsRelevant business process knowledge.Preferred Qualifications:Six Sigma Black Belt preferredStrong process improvement mindsetPrior experience working with a organization leveraging Integrated Business Planning (IBP)Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification desirableSome experience leading teamsInternational experience* Participants who complete a short wellness assessment qualify for FREE coverage in our HIP PPO medical plan
