About the Job
REM Community Services , a part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Do you have leadership experience in senior living or assisted living? As a Program Director / Designated Coordinator, you will oversee the program management for homes supporting individuals with disabilities. In this role, you will assure each individual is provided with guidance, encouragement, support, comfort, security, and safety through relationship building. Manage the day-to-day operations of one to four programs in a community including organization and implementation of direct supports, person-centered planning, and implementation, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment.
Manage program staff members including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation.
Manage the implementation of program planning; Must be available on-call to support staff, find coverage or cover shifts as needed.
A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to person with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
# An associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
# A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; Four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses (1) to (3).
Other education, experience, training, licensure, or certification per state requirements or as required by applicable regulations.
Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.
Effective communication skills to manage relationships.
