Project Construction Manager - Railroad (Remote/Travel Required) - Olsson

This role will include being onsite at multiple locations and will require significant travel. Travel expectations for this position are estimated at 90% - 100% and will require visiting different projects across multiple states. We are seeking candidates whose home base is located in or near the Chicago, IL, Madison, WI, Milwuakee, WI Minneapolis, MN, Davenport, IA or Des Moines, IA area. Some work may occur over weekends. Regular travel home is planned for and included based on actual project coverage needs. All travel costs are paid for by the company. 

As a Project Construction Manager - Railroad, you will be responsible for understanding third-party plan submittals, observing and documenting construction activities for compliance with railroad guidelines and approved submittals, managing the day-to-day correspondence with railroad clients in the field, and initiating actions needed to keep third-party contractors aligned with railroad safety and quality requirements.

• Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in construction management, engineering, or other related field is preferred 
• A minimum of 5 years of railroad construction experience or railroad construction management required
• Valid driver's license 
• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Typical range for this position is $75,355 to $90,000+ and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
