Sayres Defense is seeking a Senior Project Control Analyst III ( SR PCA III) at the company headquarters office located in Washington, DC.

Position requires initiative and self-direction while working within a team framework under the guidance, direction and mentorship of senior leaders and staff. The SR PCA III will supervise a team of 4 Project control analysts.
The Senior Project Control Analyst III will be responsible for the monitoring of an ongoing large Federal Government contract for Sayres. The SR PCA III will supervise a team of 4 Project control analysts. This position will provide oversight of all financial aspects of the contract and team using Unanet ERP and Excel. Job duties include working closely with the Contracts Department on funding documents for nine subcontractors, subcontractor cost tracking and accruals (including approving subcontractor invoices), prime modification review, estimates at completion (EAC), monthly deliverable and status report coordination, and billing to include any backup spreadsheet documents. The analyst will communicate heavily with the Finance and Accounting organization along with the Contracts organization and Project/Program Managers and the PCA finance team.
The position is located in one of the most exciting, growing and developing areas of Washington DC- just outside the Navy Yard almost next to National's Park. The economic development of the area provides for high quality of work/life with many vibrant restaurants and green spaces along the river.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as liaison and conduit for flow of financial information with Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, Contracts and Finance
- Supervise team of 4 Project control analyst (Junior, Mid level and Mid/Senior level)
- Coordinate financial data calls with Program Manager and Finance
- Perform financial analysis for Revenue and Unbilled
- Track costs, fee, hours and labor rate by funded contract line items (CLINs)
- Track and project future subcontractor/consultant costs, to include approving subcontractor invoices and work with Contracts organization on funding modifications
- Project contract execution based on current expenditures
- Project impact of indirect rates on contract expenditures
- Prepare monthly invoices for submission via WAWF
- Interface with Payroll and Accounts Payable on all contractual financial charges (labor, subcontractor/consultant costs, travel and material costs)
- Complete monthly financial reports
- Complete contract forecasts and provide financial information for annual business plan
- EAC/ETC development at CLIN/SLIN level
- Involvement in external and internal audits
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Work Experience, and Skills Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in financial management and program control
- Federal Government Contracting experience
- Knowledge of Cost-Plus, T&M, and Fixed Price contract types
- Understanding of indirect rates and how they are applied to costs
- Ability to read and interpret contract and subcontract documents to include awards and modifications
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and meet month-end deadlines
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience leading or supervising a Finance team.
- Ability to obtain a clearance if required by contract.
