Overview:
The Project Coordinator for this role will focus exclusively on inventory management for NPI (New Product Introduction) project development. They will work closely with hardware and software engineering program managers, who rely on the timely arrival of critical hardware. Approximately six managers will collaborate with this Project Coordinator and Program Managers (EPMs).
Job Description
A global networking company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support hardware inventory and logistics management in San Jose, CA.
In this role, you will work alongside an existing Project Coordinator and closely support Engineering Program Managers (EPMs) in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of critical hardware components for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
This position involves managing shipments, tracking inventory, and ensuring compliance with internal processes for global logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain the inventory of hardware components (CPUs, GPUs, memory modules, etc.) internal tracking systems.
- Ensure shipments are properly received and stored in our San Jose stockroom.
- Notify EPMs of the timely arrival of goods and coordinate with them on time-sensitive projects.
- Manage the logistics of shipping equipment from the San Jose hub to other locations worldwide (e.g., India, China).
- Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure all shipping requests and procedures are followed.
- Understand the different types of components (e.g., 32GB memory modules) and make independent decisions on where specific components should be shipped.
- Maintain accuracy of inventory
- Ensure all stock is properly tagged and tracked for easy retrieval and distribution.
- Receive training on internal systems, with an expected 1-month ramp-up period.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project coordination, high volume inventory management, or logistics (preferably in a tech environment).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet tools and experience in tracking inventory data.
- Familiarity with global shipping practices and compliance regulations is a plus.

Location: San Jose, CA. Onsite 100%
Type: Contract (12+ Months)
Pay Range: $60-$75/h (DOE)
