Project Coordinator
PURPOSE:
Steers and coordinates all activities within Plant Spartanburg related to the implementation of product packages. Steers cross functional teams related to the management of these packages. Utilizes and drives improvements to relevant systems and processes to improve the overall project efficiency.
Looking for an event planner/planner support to lead and direct internal and external events. The ideal candidate is comfortable being part of a small team that supports the needs of a large scale orgination, thrives in agile and fast-paced work environments, is a quick learner and comfortable with multi-tasking, is extrovert, responsible, and service oriented.
Mid-level event planner responsible for leading, coordinating, and executing various types of events including corporate/client functions, media experiences, internal/external workshops, stakeholders dialogues, conferences, fundraisers, and more. Must be able to work closely with clients and internal teams to understand not only event needs, but business goals and drives regarding corporate and brand experiences. Must be a detailed orientated self-starter who can manage all aspects of event logistics including venue selections, catering, entertainment, staffing, transportation, partners/vendors and onsite support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Examples are: 1) Transports materials or inspects building, equipment and other items; 2) operates computers or other office equipment’; and 3) sits or stands for prolonged periods of time. Physical demands should be described in terms of what has to be done and not in terms of physical or mental attributes.) Supports prototype vehicle builds in the manufacturing area ("F")

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead event support with understanding and alignment of client goals and expectations.
- Create detailed event runs of shows, budgets and reporting
- Research and book all events elements including venues, vendors, and suppliers
- Coordinate contracts and prices with purchasing and controlling teams and ensure quality service and products according to corporate identity and brand positioning.
- Supervise and direct the event
- Work with media and client teams on invitee coordination and materials.
- Steers and coordinates package-related activities such as cross-functional Plant and/or supplier teams.
- Processes and evaluates BBM content for Plant Spartanburg relevance, impact,
- accuracy and completeness. When required, initiates subsequent corrective actions.
- Coordinates and manages the implementation of relevant changes with all
- affected departments, incl. process partners in Germany, to determine
- the impact of the change and the earliest possible implementation date
- and forums (WPT, Projektsteuerkreis, Freigaberunde, etc.).
- Provides regular updates of all open issues/status to supervisor/project leader, ensuring all activities are completed on-time and within the target framework.
- Provides support to process partners with respect to BBM content issues/questions.
- Provides guidance/training to process partners on the Launch Management systems and processes.
- Conducts root cause analysis and implements corrective measures to
- improve the systems/ processes within the Launch and Change Management
- department.
- Has flexibility within the department regarding job assignment.
- Assumes responsibility for additional special projects as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- AA /AS degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics or other related
- Degree or equivalent experience of 2 years.
- BA /BS degree (Engineering, Supply Chain-related preferred) or equivalent of 4 years experience.
- MA /MS degree (Engineering, Supply Chain-related preferred) or equivalent of 5 years experience.
- 6 years of related professional experience with AA/AS degree.
- 4 years of related professional experience with BA/BS degree
- 3 years of related professional experience with MA/MS degree.
- All relevant experience should contain at least 3 years of project
- management/team leadership positions, preferably in Supply Chain,
- Logistics or Engineering-related functions.
- Advanced interpersonal/communication skills as proven through business application.
- Advanced project Management/Team Leadership experience (preferably in
- Supply Chain, Engineering or Logistics functions)
- Advanced technical/Engineering/Supply Chain experience.
- Advanced MS-Office computer skills (Expert preferred).
- Intermediate planning/Organization skills as proven through business application.
- Intermediate German language skills preferred (written and oral; required for consideration for an international assignment).
- Certificate of German fluency (preferred)
- Intermediate business/technical experience with knowledge of specific
- functional area (preferred)
- Intermediate knowledge of Group Systems such as TAIS, LTERM, SAP Logistics/
- Procurement (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of overall department and company mission (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of PEP Launch Processes (preferred).
