Project Engineer at Alpha Baking

Responsibilities:

1. Travel to all Plants 50% Travel.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
3. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project execution.
4. Coordinate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support project activities.
5. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential obstacles and develop mitigation strategies.
6. Manage project timelines and milestones, tracking progress and addressing any deviations from the plan.
7. Monitor project expenses and expenditures, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
8. Communicate regularly with project team members and stakeholders to provide updates on project status, issues, and resolutions.
9. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, building codes, and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
10. Lead or participate in project meetings, including kick-off meetings, progress reviews, and post-project evaluations.
11. Oversee the commissioning and testing of new equipment and systems, coordinating with vendors and contractors as needed.
12. Provide technical guidance and support to project team members, helping to overcome technical challenges and ensure successful project outcomes.
13. Document project activities, outcomes, and lessons learned for future reference and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
2. Previous experience in project management or engineering roles within the food manufacturing or bakery industry is preferred.
3. Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and execute complex projects from inception to completion.
4. Knowledge of bakery equipment and systems, including ovens, mixers, conveyors, and packaging machinery.
5. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to food manufacturing facilities.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
7. Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
8. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
9. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
