Are you an experienced Project Engineer with a background in exhibits, architecture, or design? Join a leading company in the trade show and exhibit industry, where youll turn 2D concepts into 3D realities. This is a hands-on role that offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects, collaborating with a dynamic team of designers, craftsmen, and event specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Tradeshow Event Specialist (TES) to document all details needed to fulfill the design objectives of each project
- Use AutoCAD to generate production and assembly documents, including all required views (Plan, Elevation, Exploded, Section, Perspective)
- Specify materials, hardware, and construction details while ensuring all design elements are aligned with producible practices
- Generate part CNC profile files and oversee the assembly process
- Provide detailed assembly documentation for exhibit installation, including rigging, electricals, A/V, and vendor components
- Follow projects from design through production to ensure successful builds
- 3-5 years of experience in the exhibit, museum, architecture, design, construction, trade show, theatrical environment, or a similar field
- Bachelors degree in Structural Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Design, Exhibit Design, Project Management, or a related field
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and the AutoDesk design suite
- Knowledge of millwork, wood, plastics, and metal fabrication techniques
- Understanding of basic electrical circuitry and familiarity with A/V equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Ability to operate independently, infer solutions from incomplete information, and tackle project challenges
- Hands-on and willing to jump in at any point of the process
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with management, suppliers, vendors, and trade labor
