The Role:
As a field based Assistant Project Engineer Intern, you'll:
- Support project managers and field teams by assisting in project documentation, scheduling, and coordination of daily activities.
- Review project drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with project goals and compliance with industry standards.
- Track and document project progress, including daily logs, material deliveries, and work completed.
- Participate in on-site meetings, gaining exposure to real-time problem-solving and decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of RFIs (Requests for Information) and submittals to ensure project milestones are met.
- Contribute to maintaining project safety standards by observing and reporting on-site conditions.
- Engage with subcontractors and suppliers, supporting procurement and logistics activities.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in building construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with the capability to lead by example.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a self-starter mentality.
- A strong work ethic with dedication to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to see the big picture while focusing on details.
- Comfort with technology and a willingness to learn new software.
- Must be able to work full-time.
