Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm, is hiring a Project Engineer to join our Water Resources Flood and Drainage Department. The position entails overseeing and performing technical analysis, performing project management, client management, overseeing designs, drafting of construction plans, and preparation of construction specifications as well as project scheduling, site inspections, construction cost estimating, construction management, and construction assistance.

What you'll be doing
- Leading a design team advancing water resources projects.
- Field review of project sites to develop designs for new or rehabilitated facilities.
- Preparing and overseeing technical analyses and engineering designs.
- Coordinating with Project owners, resource and permitting agencies, and outside consultants.
- Performing AutoCAD Drafting and GIS Exhibit Development
- Construction coordination/inspection/management/documents review
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Masters a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years preparing engineering technical analyses and design of Water Resource-related projects.
- Professional Civil Engineering License in California.
- Ability to oversee a team of engineers and supporting staff.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Client management and communications experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Project.
- Professional Civil Engineering License in California.
- Valid CA driver’s license.
- Past experience as a Project Engineer on Water Resources projects.
- Formal Project Management training or certification.
- Understanding of California Central Valley environmental agencies and other State and Federal regulatory agencies.
- Participation in an industry-related professional organization.

The expected salary will likely fall within the mid-point of the range. Please note that this range does not account for geographic differences and may vary above or below the listed range. Any offer will consider various factors, including experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, and training. Base pay is one component of the comprehensive compensation package provided by Wood Rodgers.
