Our client is looking for seasoned project leaders for Project Executive positions in several key regions overseeing large and complex projects primarily in sectors such as Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, Automotive, Distribution, Mission Critical, and Commercial. With over 60 years of steady growth, they are a global leader in engineering, design, construction, and related services.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Leader to oversee and coordinate projects across several key regions: Reno, NV; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Jackson, MS; and Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive project success in diverse geographical locations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Administration:
- Facilitate customer and team meetings, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Oversee project startup meetings and action item tracking.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of documentation.
Financial Performance:
- Monitor project budgets and costs, identifying and addressing issues early.
- Develop execution strategies and manage financials for optimal project profitability.
- Ensure adherence to procurement procedures and manage change orders effectively.
Schedule Performance:
- Develop and maintain project schedules.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to address schedule issues promptly.
- Document delays and justify schedule extensions as needed.
Risk Management:
- Understand and enforce contractual obligations.
- Develop and implement risk management plans.
- Assess effectiveness and recommend corrective actions.
Relationship Management:
- Serve as primary customer contact.
- Develop and execute relationship management plans.
- Foster a cooperative work environment among project teams and stakeholders.
Team Member Development:
- Support team adherence to company values and mission.
- Mentor and train project management staff.
- Monitor and improve team cohesion.
Collaboration:
- Foster collaboration across project teams and disciplines.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with significant P&L accountability.
- Experience managing diverse project types and contracting methods.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project scheduling, financial management, and risk assessment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
