The candidate will be responsible for managing project schedules, coordinating international logistics, and ensuring successful procurement and deployment of cable plant materials. This role requires the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and report project status to executive leadership and federal officials. Occasional international and domestic travel will be required to oversee project execution and deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of telecommunications projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Oversee procurement of materials from multiple vendors, ensuring secure and timely international shipping and delivery to overseas locations.
- Coordinate personnel deployments and logistics for overseas project execution, ensuring compliance with all federal regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and deliver detailed project status reports to both executive leadership and federal officials, outlining progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure seamless project execution, resolving issues, and aligning efforts with project goals.
- Manage project risks and develop contingency plans to address potential delays or disruptions in the project lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to all project compliance standards, including secure handling of materials and documentation.
- Track project milestones, budget performance, and deliverables, and make necessary adjustments to meet project objectives.
- 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably in telecommunications, IT infrastructure, or federal contracting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage procurement, logistics, and personnel deployment in complex project environments.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools for tracking project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to report project status and issues to executive leadership and federal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple vendors and ensure compliance with international shipping and federal regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on resolving project challenges efficiently and effectively.
- U.S. Citizenship required, with eligibility to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience working with federal government contracts and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with international logistics and OCONUS project coordination.
- Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar) for tracking progress and managing resources.
- Ability to work for extended periods sitting at a desk and using a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
