Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Lead and manage the technical solutions for proposed projects, including equipment, vessels, and methodologies. Ensure all changes are communicated effectively to stakeholders.
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans and execution strategies from ideation through mobilization, providing subject matter expertise and coordinating inputs from various stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Initiate and maintain a risk opportunity register, capturing key items throughout the project lifecycle.
- Cost Management: Build cost schedules and prepare contractual documentation in alignment with commercial service level agreements.
- Cross-Department Coordination: Oversee project planning activities across departments, ensuring accountability and timely execution.
- Resource Management: Provide key information on project resource requirements in collaboration with resource owners (e.g., ROV and Survey) within agreed timeframes.
- Budget Oversight: Review budgets and work closely with the Project Accountant to implement a project cost book.
- HSEQ Compliance: Ensure the accurate preparation, dissemination, and adherence to HSEQ documentation, processes, and procedures in conjunction with the HSEQ team.
- Supplier Engagement: Manage project-specific suppliers to ensure successful delivery and risk mitigation.
- Client Collaboration: Maintain close collaboration with clients, managing delivery, scope variations, and payment schedules.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify operational challenges and drive initiatives for continuous improvement within the business.
- Technology Advocacy: Act as an ambassador for the implementation of technology on projects.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of significant project management experience, with a proven track record leading cross-functional technical teams, including ROV and hydrographic survey operations.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Project Management, Hydrographic Surveying, or a related field is required.
- PMP Certified
- Valid GWO training, OGUK medical, and BOSIET certification.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of ROV survey data acquisition, reporting, and processing.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Proven leadership abilities with a capacity to resolve offshore issues effectively.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Desired Technical Software Skills:
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
- Familiarity with ROV survey data processing software.
- Knowledge of budgeting and accounting software.
