Project Manager (Marketing and Operations) - The PMO Squad

The PMO Squad is seeking a driven and engaged Project Manager for a contract engagement with our client. The ideal candidate is a person who can effectively oversee multiple projects at once while keeping teams and stakeholders informed. This role requires someone who takes the initiative and anticipates challenges to ensure projects stay on track and meet deadlines. This person should be caring, creative, and collaborative, in alignment with the client's organizational culture.
Position: Contract | 6-mos.
Pay: $60-$70 / hr. DOE
Location: Remote or Hybrid | Candidates located in San Diego CA will be given priority review.
Responsibilities:
- Manage competing project priorities within the organization's centralized PMO, primarily focusing on Marketing, HR, Operations, and IT projects.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure high-quality outcomes for all projects.
- Be proactive, accountable, and trustworthy when managing and reporting on assigned projects.
- Take ownership of tasks, driving projects forward with minimal supervision.
- Anticipate challenges, manage risks, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope.
- Proactively finds solutions, remains resourceful, and keeps stakeholders informed throughout.
- Support executive stakeholders and sponsors while leading projects to delivery

Skills / Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager, managing multiple cross-functional projects within an organization.
- Must have experience directly managing Marketing, HR, and Operations projects.
- Experience using Asana or comparable PPM / WMS tool
- Understanding if EOS business modeling strongly preferred
- PMP certification strongly preferred
- Experience supporting executive teams (VPs, EVPs, and C-Suite)
- Ability to provide effective and thoughtful communication throughout all levels of an organization
- Ability to handle challenging situations with calmness and empathy
