Rate: $45-51/hr.
Job Summary: The Software Development Project Manager is responsible for overseeing software projects from initiation through completion. This role requires a blend of technical and managerial skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and according to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Define project goals, objectives, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Team Coordination: Lead and motivate software development teams. Facilitate communication between developers, stakeholders, and clients.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor project progress against timelines and budgets. Identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to manage expectations and provide regular updates.
- Resource Management: Allocate tasks to team members and manage workloads to ensure efficient project execution.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira).
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in project management within the software development industry.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify issues and implement solutions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
