Our client is a national leader specializing in water, wastewater, storm drain, and fire protection products. They offer an extensive range of products including iron water pipe, PVC sewer pipe, HDPE drainage pipe, copper tubing, manhole frames and covers, gate valves, service brass, and meters. With a focus on distribution, expertise, sales, service, and training, our client serves municipalities, land development firms, construction companies, and more.
We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join the team in Puyallup, WA, following the retirement of a senior PM. This is a critical role for the company, offering the opportunity to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities
- Project Coordination: Manage the entire scope of water, wastewater, and storm drain projects from start to finish, ensuring timelines, budgets, and project goals are met.
- Client Relations: Work closely with municipal water treatment plants, land development firms, and construction companies to understand their needs and ensure all expectations are exceeded.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, including shipping and logistics management.
- Team Collaboration: Work with internal teammates to streamline project workflows, maintain clear communication, and resolve any issues that arise.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to all stakeholders, keeping them informed of project progress, changes, and any adjustments that need to be made.
- Attention to Detail: Oversee resources, timelines, scheduling, and documentation to ensure all project components are meticulously managed.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of related experience in construction, industrial distribution, or a general contractor/municipality setting.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills. Familiarity with municipal water systems, industrial plumbing, or similar industries is a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Candidates with experience in water, wastewater, and storm drain projects or related sectors like pipe fabrication, industrial plumbing, or pump/drill companies will be preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary: $58,000 - $81,000 annually.
- Profit Sharing: Opportunity to participate in a company-wide profit-sharing plan, making your total earnings up to $83,000.
