Immediate long term contract opportunity for Project Manager (Remote).

Overview:
The Project Manager is a critical leader responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects within a state government child welfare agency. This role requires a unique blend of project management expertise, a deep understanding of the child welfare system, and the ability to navigate complex government structures.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including caseworkers, social workers, legal professionals, IT specialists, and community partners.
• Manage project timelines, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
Stakeholder Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including agency leadership, government officials, and community organizations.
• Communicate project progress and address concerns effectively.
• Facilitate collaboration and consensus-building among diverse stakeholders.
Child Welfare Expertise:
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of child welfare policies, practices, and regulations.
• Ensure projects align with the agency's mission to protect and support vulnerable children and families.
• Advocate for the best interests of children throughout the project lifecycle.
Data and Performance Management:
• Track and analyze project data to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project outcomes and impact.
• Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
• Project Management Experience: Proven track record of successfully managing projects in a complex environment, ideally within government or social services sectors. PMP certification preferred.
• Child Welfare Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of child welfare systems, policies, and practices. Experience working with vulnerable children and families is a plus.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Leadership and Problem-Solving: Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate challenges and drive results.
• Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience preferred.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Experience working within state government structures and processes
• Familiarity with child welfare information systems and technology
• Knowledge of change management principles and techniques
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
• Bilingual skills may be beneficial depending on the demographics served.
