PROJECT SPECIALIST
VECRA, Inc. requires a Project Specialist to join our Lanham, Maryland headquarters. The VECRA Project Specialist will contribute meaningful work to Leadership and Program Managers in support of our Commercial, Public, and Federal government clients.
JOB SUMMARY
The Project Specialist's responsibilities will include complex tasks providing administrative and marketing support to VECRA leadership. Tasks include developing documents, creating meeting agendas, research, SharePoint collaboration, social media marketing and promotions, creation of marketing materials, team collaboration, and supporting leadership on various initiatives.
ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Personally assist various program managers and VECRA, Inc. leadership as assigned and directed.
- Provide project support for multiple and simultaneous projects (short-term and long-term).
- Conduct knowledge capture during key meetings, develop meeting summaries and deliverables, support stakeholder engagement, and impact measurement.
- Create accurate Excel Spreadsheets and manage data.
- Maintain accurate database information as needed.
- Create and distribute the Quarterly Newsletter.
- Lead the updates for each Capability statement.
- Research the internet and other resources upon request.
- Orient others to VECRA program support procedures.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedure files and notebooks for the Office.
- Create forms to be used by Managers and Staff.
- Be creative to help develop various website content.
- Assist in developing charts, graphs, briefings, and other presentation aids.
- Tactfully handle all contacts and work closely with stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
- Coordinate with management to develop reporting procedures across organizational teams
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet navigation, SharePoint navigation, and Windows.
· Good computer troubleshooting ability.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Experience with Canva, MailChimp, Hootsuite or other marketing platforms required.
· Works well independently and is a team player.
· Good planner and proficient in time management.
· Excellent multi-tasker and organizer in a fast-paced environment.
· Must be willing to travel to work at the Lanham, MD office location.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree with three year’s experience preferred
- Related experience in lieu of degree will be considered
