About the role
It is preferred that you have some knowledge of residential homebuilding, general contracting or subcontracting industries. You would be reporting to our Director of Finance and play a major role in assisting ramping our financial team and scaling our business.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Microsoft Office Products and the Google Suite of software tools. You will need to learn quickly about Mosaic customers" projects to properly review invoices, obtain the required approvals within Mosaic, and process the invoices for proper payment.
Mosaic currently operates in a unique marketplace - we provide general contracting services, design/architecture services, and other services unique to a build-to-rent General Contractor. Therefore, experience in any of these fields will enable you to provide an immediate impact to the organization.
In this role you will:
- Manage project accounting, including budgeting, billing, and payments
- Collaborate with project and purchasing teams to maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers
- Resolve project issues promptly and ensure accurate reflection in project financials.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of customer billings
- Maintain accurate and timely project-level financials
Job Requirements:
- Experience working in the architecture/engineering/construction industry a plus
- Experience with AIA billing a plus
- 2+ years in finance, accounting and/or business-related field of study or equivalent experience
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with little supervision.
- Must be able to multitask, operate multiple programs at once, and adapt quickly to ever changing growth
- Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical skills preferred
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized, understands the importance in confidentiality
