Property Accountant - redShift Recruiting

Our local client has an immediate opening on their team for a Property Accountant.

Responsibilities of the Property Accountant will include:

• Responsible for the financial management of multiple properties within a portfolio
• Provide expertise and guidance to management and operations to ensure overall financial goals and objectives are properly met
• Make financial decisions to ensure and preserve adequate cash flow 
• Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monthly financial statements
• Generate reports and data necessary to successfully manage property operations
• Provide guidance to Accounts Payable staff and Accounting Intern as needed 
• Oversee audit processes and scheduling for assigned properties
• Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications of the Property Accountant:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years' experience
• Experience with real estate or property management is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office

• Detail oriented and deadline driven
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
