Protection Strategies, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Proposal Analyst to join our team in Knoxville, TN. This is an onsite position, located at our corporate office in West Knoxville.
The Proposal Analyst conducts qualitative and quantitative research in support of the Company's growth objectives. They organize, manage, and report critical data to build and maintain a sustainable new and existing business pipeline. The Proposal Analyst performs data collection, analysis, and dissemination of critical capture information and conducts market research regarding new business opportunities, providing business development intelligence to leadership. The Proposal Analyst owns the capture opportunities from pipeline to proposal handoff by reviewing and analyzing solicitation (RFP, RFI, RFQ, etc.) documentation as part of the opportunity analysis and proposal development process. And by conducting daily searches of government contract databases for new business opportunities and reporting curated findings in daily and weekly reports. Also, ensuring the company's profile is accurate and current in relevant opportunity databases.
The Proposal Analyst will manage the Business Development pipeline and review presentations and displaying metrics via dashboards, graphs, and charts and conducts pipeline financial analysis and preparing reports for executive leadership that address details such as total value, expected value, and schedule. The Proposal Analyst will track follow-up actions on designated opportunities of interest. While conducting research on known and suspected competitors, potential teammates, and subcontractors. The Proposal Analyst will also attend industry events regarding upcoming opportunities and supporting leadership in the analysis of presented information.
Qualifications for the Proposal Analyst:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or other similar or related field.
- 1 year of experience in capture and business development initiatives or intelligence
- Demonstrated experience or aptitude for working in a fast paced, federal contracting environment.
- Proficiency in MS Word, SharePoint, Excel, and other MS Office 365 applications.
- Ability to become quickly proficient in other data management and CRM applications
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage projects under tight deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task; organize and prioritize multiple on-going projects.
- Ability to safeguard sensitive information.
- Ability to adapt easily in a growing and developing environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands
Mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
