Who is LCMHA?
LCMHA (Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority) provides or manages a full array of services to adults and children with mental health and/or emotional disturbances, persons with substance use disorders, and persons with developmental disabilities. Our mission is to create a path to resilience, recovery, wellness, and self-determination for these individuals.
This is a contractual per-diem position. The amount of assessments/testing vary, estimated 1 to 6 per month.
Lenawee Community Mental Health Authority is currently recruiting a licensed psychologist to perform two separate duties; psychological assessments for OBRA pre-admission screening/annual resident reviews and psychological testing for guardianship.
Psychological OBRA Assessor is responsible for completing the psychological assessment portion of the OBRA evaluation for individuals with intellectual disability/developmental disability to validate the diagnosis. The assessment includes recommending programming and placement based on the individual needs. Additional testing instruments may be required such as WAIS-IV. The rate is $130 per assessment.
Psychologist would conduct psychological testing for guardianship hearing which includes administering psychological testing instruments, prepares interpretive reports, and testifying at the guardianship hearing. The rate is $80.00 per hour for testing and $80 per testimony.
Qualifications: M.A. in psychology, licensed by the state of Michigan (TLLP, LLP), have specialized training or one year of experience in treating or working with individuals with intellectual disability, and demonstrate competency with completing psychological testing and ability to testify at court hearings.
