About the Job
Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking an outstanding psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to join our team. The psychologist will provide outpatient consultative and psychotherapeutic services to adults in our chronic pain, post-concussion, and physical medicine rehabilitation programs. Most common conditions include chronic pain (e.g., fibromyalgia, back pain, headache), brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, amputation, cancer, cardiac diseases, and neurological disorders. The focus of our services is adjustment to and coping with acute and chronic medical conditions that are impacting functioning and quality of life. We emphasize evidence-based, interdisciplinary approaches to rehabilitation.
We are looking for candidates with excellent interpersonal skills, a desire to work within an interdisciplinary team, and experience in a health care setting. Candidates with a background in rehabilitation or health psychology are especially well-suited to this position. The psychologist will be engaged in direct service delivery as well as supervision of Master’s-level providers. This position requires a doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program and a license (or license eligible) in the State of Michigan Persons who can bring increased diversity to the department are especially encouraged to apply.

Essential Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Education, and Training Requirements):
• Doctoral degree in Psychology
• Full licensure as a Psychologist with the State of Michigan.
• One to two years progressively more responsible related work experience.
