Psychologist - (Pediatric/Adolescent) - People's Community Clinic
Austin, TX 78752
About the Job
We are recruiting a part-time (20 hours per week) skilled psychologist interested in leadership, Integrated Behavioral Health, and youth with neurodevelopmental differences. Our GOALS (Generating Outcomes And Liaisons for Students) Program started in 2005 within an academic-leaning, nonprofit medical clinic. (People’s Community Clinic is now a Federally Qualified Health Center.) The GOALS Program has included pre-doctoral and supervising psychologists for many years.
The GOALS team consists of a developmental and adolescent medicine fellowship-trained medical director, a program manager, a consulting psychiatrist, consulting social workers, consulting Medical Legal Partnership lawyers, and the pediatric and adolescent medicine primary care providers who refer into the program. The psychologist participates in case staffings, works closely with the core team, and helps oversee best practice metrics. The psychologist assists in diagnosis, directly providing or recommending educational and behavioral interventions. ADHD, ASD, learning, and other cognitive disabilities are the most common diagnoses. Experience supervising pre-doctoral psychologists and teaching other learners is preferred.
The GOALS Program provides specialized support within a wrap-around, interdisciplinary medical home. Most patients come from under-resourced families. The GOALS Program has developed strong relationships with schools and community organizations in order to promote youth academic success. We also have collaborated on research projects and a few publications.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join an established youth-serving program.
