Job Summary:
Express Employment is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our team
This role primarily involves assisting the Purchasing Manager, handling purchase orders (POs), and providing excellent customer service through our parts phone lines
2 years experience in purchasing for manufacturing company required.
Compensation - $22-$25 an hour
Work Schedule - Mon-Fri
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize MRP systems to ensure accurate inventory management and ordering.
- Create and manage system purchase orders (POs) in alignment with inventory needs.
- Answer parts phone lines, addressing customer inquiries and providing assistance in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure inventory levels meet demand.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to inventory and purchases.
- Assist in troubleshooting inventory-related issues and provide solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory and procurement processes.
Qualifications:
- 2 years' experience in purchasing specifically in manufacturing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
