Purchasing Manager - Basic American Medical Products

General Accountabilities in this Role:

• Qualifies supplier/vendor in accordance with Company procedure.
• Negotiates vendor pricing, terms and overall contracts where applicable.
• Orders and expedites products to ensure timely delivery in accordance with production requirements.
• Evaluates all incoming purchase orders to ensure vendors on time delivery performance.
• Assures that incoming materials meet the required specifications.
• Ensures that transportation or incoming materials are shipped in a safe and cost-effective manner and consistent with the company’s overall transportation policies.
• Conduct ongoing evaluation of supply chain partners to determine effectiveness and engage in ongoing evaluation of potential new supply chain partners.
• Lead the Purchasing Department team.

Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field preferred.
• A minimum 3 years’ experience in purchasing or procurement in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiating and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office software
