BLUEHALO, LLC PROCUREMENT ORGANIZATION IS SEEKING A MOTIVATED, PROCUREMENT PROFESSIONAL WHO WANTS TO DEVELOP THEIR PROCUREMENT EXPERTISE IN THE US FEDERAL MARKET AND SUPPLY CHAIN ARENA
- The responsibility of the buyer should encompass all purchasing-related activity at the company, including direct purchases, discrete items, products and service.
- Good negotiation skills, able to consider all opportunities and options both short and long range when putting a deal together
- Self-starter, self-motivated, aggressive, proactive doesn't require a lot of direction
- Good computer skills, ability to use spreadsheets to analyze data ability to make a correct decision with this data
- Able to analyze data and prepare output for others review that is clear and easy for everyone to understand
- Express your opinions and concerns openly to management
- Good working relationship with all departments, initiate meetings with engineering to understand new part concepts and design concerns
- Understands the "system" and "process" of sourcing strategy
- Capable of understanding Supplier management knows supplier quality rating; supplier delivery condition; financial condition; cost reduction performance
- Communicates supplier issues (quality, delivery, financial, etc) with management when appropriate
- Good product knowledge and understanding of your commodities (part content, part function, raw materials, part benchmark data, and other suppliers for these type parts) Team player, dedicated, always gives 100% effort Wants things done correctly
- Able to communicate in a positive manner to suppliers when trying to explain or express a difficult issue Ability to keep suppliers relaxed and comfortable with company's policy, procedure and direction

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- A solid understanding of all steps from procurement to payment (requisition, approval, purchase order, receipt, and billing); understand the sourcing related steps (requirements definition, analysis category, strategy planning, vendor selection, strategy execution, contract allocation).
- Good working knowledge of CPSR, FAR, DFARS, GSA and other Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- Ability to maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct and practices
- Organized, detail and customer-oriented, and dependable.
- Effective analytical, oral and written communication skills for customer/vendor relations and interfaces.
- Experience with Unanet (a plus), Excel, Adobe Acrobat and other Microsoft Office packages
- Ability to apply concepts of basic and advanced mathematics in order to calculate discounts, interests, commissions, percentages etc.
- Ability to read and interpret moderate terms and conditions of sales and purchases.
- Ability to work in dynamic environment and handle multitasking efficiently.
