About the Job
The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and supplies necessary for our projects. The ideal candidate will also have AutoCAD experience to assist in reviewing, drafting, and interpreting design specifications and plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Procurement:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing.
- Manage the purchasing process from order placement to delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs to ensure timely availability of materials.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with engineering and project management teams to understand project requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or product quality.
AutoCAD Utilization:
- Review and interpret design plans and specifications using AutoCAD.
- Assist in the selection of materials based on technical specifications and project needs.
- Draft material parts
- Provide feedback to design teams regarding material options and availability.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
- Prepare and analyze purchasing reports to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in Construction.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Spanish speaking is a plus
Pay: $28 - $30/hr
