QA Test Engineer at Qualitest

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join the our team. This role involves ensuring the quality and performance of our cutting-edge visual search technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing, experience with image processing or machine learning products, and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive black and gray box testing of the Google Lens application and related services on mobile devices

• Develop and execute test cases for new features based on product requirements, development specifications, and user interface design documentation• Monitor and analyze test automation dashboards for failures, triage issues, and identify gaps in alert and reporting mechanisms

• Triage and manage bug reports, aligning with trend data to ensure test cases exist to prevent future regression

• Drive awareness of critical issues and provide detailed data in bug reports to aid development teams in reproducing and resolving issues

• Work with team to identify and help implement new processes for future product releases.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and UX, to ensure high-quality releases• Participate in quarterly product reviews and provide feedback on testability and potential issues

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of Quality Engineering experience or equivalent

• Proficiency in test case design techniques for systems and integration testing

• Expertise in finding and reporting bugs, with strong instincts to distinguish hardware vs. software failures

• Knowledge of mobile application testing on Android and iOS platforms

• Proficiency with the Linux command-line, including navigating file systems and searching logs for sub-strings (e.g., grepping and regular expressions)

• Familiarity with Google Workspace Applications, tools (e.g., adb, DebugAS, Buganizer, TriageAS)

• Ability to go into the office daily

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong documentation and technical writing skills.

• Experience with embedded hardware and software

• Linux CLI experience

• Experience with image processing or machine learning products

• Entry-level scripting language experience in Bash and/or Python for automating common daily tasks is a plus

Must Haves:
