Job Title: Quality Control Specialist for Mechanical and Plumbing Systems

Position Summary:

United Trades of America is looking for a Quality Control Specialist with a strong background in mechanical and plumbing systems. This role involves ensuring that all installations meet the highest quality standards and require extensive walking on-site.

Pay Rate:

• Up to $35 per hour, based on experience
• Per Diem: $100 per day worked (only for candidates living over 70 miles from jobsite)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect mechanical and plumbing installations to ensure they meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Detects and reports any defects or non-compliance issues.
• Work closely with construction teams to ensure corrective measures are taken promptly.
• Keep detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality control procedures.
• Conduct regular site walks to oversee the progress and quality of work.
• Use appropriate tools and equipment to test and verify installation quality.
• Educate site personnel on quality standards and procedures.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in quality control, specifically in mechanical and plumbing.
• Deep knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems, including relevant codes and standards.
• Keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to conduct extensive on-site walking and inspections.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in quality control or related fields are beneficial.
