QMHP-CS II - Midway School Base - Heart of Texas Behavioral Heath Network (Previously known as Heart if Texas MHMR)

Under the immediate supervision of a supervisor or Unit Director performs assigned therapy and skills training services.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:          

• Interviews clients, their relatives, and other interested individuals and agencies to obtain social and developmental histories to discover social/psychological problems.
• Performs therapeutic treatment with clients or relatives of clients, under supervision of the Unit Director or Supervisor in consultation with a psychiatrist or other physician.
• Participates as a team member in conferences designed for the diagnosis and treatment of clients.
• Participates in the interpretation of methods and procedures to agencies responsible for carrying out recommendations of the clinic.
• May supervise volunteers and students/interns. 
• Acts as liaison between all appropriate agencies, Connally ISD, physicians, relatives of clients and community resources for purposes of admission, treatment, and discharge planning.
• May participate in budget planning, unit administration, and program development.
• Increases knowledge of Psychotherapeutic, Skill Streaming, and social work concepts by attendance at work related outside conferences and seminars whenever possible.
• Performs related work as required.

Experience and Training

Experience as set forth under Education.

Education        

• A Masters or in progress of Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field from an accredited school.
• Fully Licensed (LPC, LCSW,RN, etc)
• Licensure candidate (LPCi, LMSW, etc.) 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Considerable knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and practices of therapy and social work, the functioning of social service or treatment facility of community resources and how to use them effectively.
• One year case management preferred
• Excellent verbal/written communication
• Local travel 5% Regional travel 30%
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Excellent time management and organization/filing skills
• Excellent clinical documentation skills
• Work well with Midway ISD students, families, staff, and community resources
• Ability to transport clients

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Salary: $45,000-$52,965 DOE
