Job Overview:
Reports to the Director of Performance Improvement. Responsible for performing data input, data collection, data summaries and detailed analysis for various types of outcomes and performance improvement reports. Responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors.
Qualifications:
Required:
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent
+ With one (1) year related experience
Preferred:
+ Bachelor s Degree preferred
+ Successful completion of site personnel general orientation
+ Successful completion of department specific orientation
Scheduling Requirements:
+ Day- as needed including weekend/Holidays
Essential Functions:
+ Applies proper statistical process control techniques to data analyses
+ Assists with data collection and data entry related to regulatory agency requirements as needed.
+ Inputs data for internal and external customers.
+ Collects data from appropriate databases to create organizational report
+ Coordinate the Leapfrog Survey
+ Design databases for data input and reports related to patient care quality and safety initiatives.
+ Designs databases for data input and reports related to medical staff quality and peer review activities. Enters data into appropriate databases in an accurate and timely Enters data into appropriate databases in an accurate and timely manner.
+ Maintain the Performance Improvement Department intranet site
+ Regularly review documents and information available on the site.
+ Update documents as newer versions become available
+ Alert PI Coordinators
+ Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of all decision support systems ensuring the most efficient, effective, and productive utilization
+ Protects Maintains confidentiality and security of data and information
+ Protects records and reports against loss, destruction, tampering, and unauthorized access
+ Manage CMS deadlines to ensure proper, up to date Hospital Compare reporting
+ All analytical summaries are completed accurately and timely
+ Provides training to employees and physicians regarding the use of various databases or quality modules as appropriate
+ All research is completed accurately and timely
+ Researches various healthcare regulations electronically as requested
+ Supports the management team by assisting in the preparation of departmental reports and graphs presented at the monthly
+ Supports the medical staff peer review process by reviewing data and
+ Supports the nursing performance improvement program by entering
+ Utilizes all systems fully and efficiently with little
