Quality Assurance Manager 7142017 - Huber + Suhner Astrolab

Main tasks, duties, authorization limits and deputy functions:

• o Effectively manages and directs the activities of Receiving, In-Process, and Final inspection personnel.
• o Authors the Quality Control Manual, Quality Control Procedures, and Inspection Plans & Procedures.
• o Responsible to maintain and direct an effective Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).
• o Responsible for the training and direction of a certified AS9100 Internal Auditing Team.
• o Responsible for defining and maintaining an Internal Audit Schedule in accordance with AS9100.
• o Intimately familiar with Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods and techniques and responsible for the implementation of SPC metrics within the company.
• o Represents the company at vendor and customer meetings and conferences as required.
• o Responsible for the management of Customer and Government Source Inspections.
• o Establishes and maintains the vendor rating system and performs periodic on-site vendor quality audits.
• o Responsible for the performance of all AS9102 First Article Verifications (FAV).
• o Responsible for the creation and compilation of End Item Data Packages (EIDP) in accordance with customer requirements and delivery schedules.
• o Responsible for the review and approval of all Purchase Orders.
• o Responsible for the review and approval of all Certificates of Conformance.
• o Supports Sales and Purchasing in the resolution of any external quality requirements or issues.
• o Responsible for the Quarterly Key Process Capability Report and any other reports as required by the ISO Management Committee.
• o Serves as an AS9100C Internal Auditor.
• o Serves as a member of the Material Review Board (MRB).
• o Maintains an active J-STD-001, Class 3 Inspector Certification.
• o Serves as a member of the Costa Rica and ISO Management teams.
• o All other duties as assigned

Education:

• o Bachelor’s degree, 3-5 years of QC experience at the exempt level.

Experience:

• o Experience should include similar industry or highly technical setting. 3-5 years of management experience. Additional experience can be in lieu of degree with 2 years experience equal to 1 year of college (at 30 credits per year)
